Iain Mclennan: GUESTBOOK

Love your site. So much divercity. You do all this yourself? I still have my Primal Park LP. It's great to see you kept moving. My question is why so little information about the ONLY (Mondo Rock) that there is next to nothing about you guys. I watched the band many times. "SUN" was the rhythm section of Mondo R. Your playing and presence made it impossible for anyone to deny, still even on Ross Wilson's page, there is no info. Why is this? It seems to me that Primal Park has been pimped. I can say this. I never went to another show after you left. Well.. on show in Melbourne. Shame they couldn't find an equal to fill your shoes. Believe me there was no drive. The rest is pop bullshit. Still you guys are ignored. From me and so many, we came to see the band. I cannot forget The Kew Hotel.. Most nights I was in the front or dancing. To this day, I have not seen another Australian Band to match the individual creativity. Now 56, I travel. You, my friend are World class. I suppose like many artists the fact that your place has been tucked aside is they or whoever feel threatened. The World is a big place. Though we are all tiny, there are shining stars. From so many in Aus to you Iain. You Shine.
Love expressionism, Love you,

OK... What's with the Hieroglyphics? If I don't know what it means, many readers don't have a Blind Clue unles you do us the courtesy of wring or switching on your Language Thingo. Nifozyf? What's with Passport Stuff. Citizenship? Of said Passport? I'm at a loss... C c c c c CREDIT CARDS? Ermachok, what's wrong with it? Please lay off the Girl Spam as your user name may become Ermanochok.. A gentle reminder that many enter my site. There's no room for Adult links to be placed and I take no resposibility apart from my favourite.... enabling new security software. The name says all "Go4th&Multiply" Thanks to all regardless as to have some feedback is always a chance to meet new and interesting people. Bye now... Iain Mclennan/Oinkmuse

Great to see some new languages appearing in the guest book. I mean... look below.. The "Ya tut KLUDA" business.. Don't know what it means. So if ya gunna post the mungrel. Ga on mate. Do a Dinky a fair go and get the lingo right. We speak Austranglish. I reckon chuck a few Austranglish words in the soup. Fair suck of the sav. Then we both know where we're at. Can you dig it?
Emanuelleerikolpit.. if you are in trouble? Seek help. Check Links page. Apart from all that, news is growing and a flickering light is stabalising...

Your site is beyond what i had imagined. So many interests. Which to me is music itself.
I met you many years agao in Melbourne at Bombay Rock. Liane was the girl with me. That's the clue. I am amazed after the years that you have reached each goal. I wish you love & happiness.

Greetings Iain, This is my first visit to your site. I didn't realise how diverse and eclectic your interests were. My son turned me on to the site via his school computer course. Your album has so much for so many who perhaps may one day will be faced with their own mountain. What they do or don't do at any given time impacts on us all. Thanks again as Faith will enjoy a long life. Love the new demo recordings. Jordan Masone.

Hi Iain, it`s Dan. Seems I was left in the dark a bit.... a certain someone told me that u guys pulled the plug-and he never paid me! Of course, I no longer work for that person. Please email me, as I would like to fix those walls for you if you like, at a cheap price.
Sorry Iain, looks like he duped us all.
Look forward to hearing from you, it was so interesting to meet you (and Sal AND Polly) and loved the CD, esp. Rock Me.

Hi Iain it`s Dan, who worked on the studio. I still do not feel happy with the rendering, as from your site I can see the studio is more than just walls and a floor; it is the place your heart lives, where dreams are realised and the sounds of heaven can be heard. Please Iain, let me finish the walls I want them to be special, those walls listen to some sweet music. I would feel honored. Keep up the real music Iain, its wonderful.

Just to say I love your music, writing and sense of humour. I listened to "Disconnected" for the first time just now in which you summed up my state of mind at present. I will see you live in performance one day soon. My wish for you is happiness in all you do. You don't know me. However I feel I know you. The magic of music and those who create it is beyond words.
You are dearly loved. By strangers like myself and so many of my friends. Might sound crazy? Well, from my view it's true.
A new friend. Hopefully our lives will cross.
Hugs & kisses

Got the soundbites I wanted!
Amazing how you can reach out and touch an unrelated soul halfway across the world.
Just throw it out there you may just changed the world.
Ask for nothing in return and recieve everything. All is one many rivers lead to the same ocean. Next time you have pancakes and maple syurp think of your Canadian friend.

This is the best way to communicate to all. As my email fills with spam.
Quickly, thanks to all re comments. To JostUst, re who are you? I may ask the same... thanks for your comment. Anyone with concerns as to privacy re email. If you don't leave an email address, I cannot reply. That's fine as privacy is a concern for all. This way, however, I can say thanks to all who post or comment. Don't know why I didn't think of it before.
I do appreciate all. Even the cryptic.

As you can see some folk are using this Guest Book as a posting place. Posting Fake email addresses, so I cannot contact.
If you're going to persist, have the stuff it takes to add your real name and email. Or perhaps you simply do not believe strongly enough in what you post.
If I were you, I'd think long and hard about who and what you are. Take a good look in the mirror. See if in fact it is you, looking back. If not? Do some serious thinking and get on or get off!
I'll leave your Quips and Quivel's for all to see for now. However don't bore me or anyone else that takes the time to say hello.
Better still. Buy an album or donate one through itunes to someone or thing you feel may benefit.
SPAM stands for "Surruptitious Pricktism and Malfunction." LOOK IT UP IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND..
Thanks so much for your kind words. Listen to some Music and save your retoric for perhaps your own publication. As it has nothing to do with me or the people who visit this site.
Kindly Mine,
Iain Mclennan

Hi Iain, we have been waiting for some demos. Glad to see you've added some new songs. We have just returned from the UK just in time for summer. Great to be home. We heard several tracks from Faith on indie radio in London. Of course we called and asked for more. Great to hear your voice again. We both love your album as your voice is so individual. Paul tries singing "Rock Me" in the shower. Ummm, it's just not the same. All our love C & P

Hey Iain, thought I'd write for once as I've meant to over the last few months. Some years ago, you taught me drums. I think I was your worst student. Just wanted to let you know...I got a gig!?. It's with a blues band. I remembered what you said when going to an audition. "Don't overplay and keep your mouth shut." Well, I didn't overplay but i did have a chat. I'm glad to see how things a panning out for you.
My deepest thanks for your patience and those times you just sat and listened. It was a tough time for me then and I shall never forget your kindness.. or the blond, the brunette and the two Japanese girls. I knew you were busy but...Ok
Once again, thanks

Hi Iain, I caught a glympse of you with Ross Wilson at the Daddy Cool DVD Launch. I'm working press these days. I meant to come over and say hi. You and Ross look great! It's rae to see two people, let alone musicains quietly enjoying one anothers company after so many years. I got a shot of you taking a picture then showing it to Ross. I'll forward it to you and many more. Plus! I love your album.. I can tell you this. Your time is now as many people are most respectful re your work. The fact, that like RW, you continue to move ahead. This press thing is a long journey as at times I've felt the urge to pack up and head for the hills. Now I know why I stay as seeing you and ross chatting reminded me of why I continue in my own work. I still love what I do. Love to you..Pati PS: noticed the same old gang hanging at the back near the bar..I wonder what they in fact do?

Mate, well done! When I first met you, the first thing you said was "Your drums are dirty" mind you, you were 13 and your dad brought you down to play. I was 34 and playing standards at the newcastle bowling club.
I and the band had never heard anything like it. Any tune we played , you knew! How did you know? As Gina says "The Gift" .I didn't say it then, but rarely doea such a moment happen and it shocked me. So, I am glad you have followed your dream and wish you much happiness. I am quite old now, my youngest boy Stan, loves his music/but footy more.

You bent me out of shape when I watched you play as a kid. I stopped drumming for six months. Then, if you remember, I met you at a place called Bombay Rock. You had joined The Sports and were very unhappy. I thought everyone with your status would be happy. When I asked about you, you said..lets talk about you, what is it? When I told you I had stopped playing, you stood up and said, if you don't play go away. Then you said this. "At your lowest time in life, when you are alone and have become a musical prostitute by playing music you
dislike. You dislike everything about yourself. I am in that place. Off track. The only thing to do is quit what you are doing, which I shall do in two weeks and re group. Find your heart before it is so broken it will never work again." "Start playing if you are happy. Never stop, take up the challenge and you will survive". Carmine Appice was at that gig, I saw him congratualte you on your playing. Your words got me playing again. Thanks for being honest and for your site. Jag

I saw you perform in Thailand on the beach in Hua Hin. You are such a passionate performer with a great sense of humour. I had hear the song 'Rock Me" on many times as I downloaded it from your site. My sister took her life some years ago. Your words touched me deeply as you sang
'heavy eyes look down from the bridge-I wonder why , but I won't give in to it". Now I know that the plan to take ones life can not be stopped by anyone as all it takes is a moment and action is robotic. Thank you for your courage and links to help others. My mother & father were also deeply moved. When is your new music coming out? Sean Mackin

It has been many years since i have enjoyed such poetic and life songs. My family all love the music you make. How is it you manage to play so many instument? Mama is one of the most beautiful and stiring song I have evr heard. I lost my Mama many years ago. I still see her and feel her with me. I was adopted as a foster child. For me this was a blessing and a trouble. Thinking who and where was my mother and what made her give me up caused my haert much pain. You song is strong and has given me new strength. I am 22 yrs old and live in Bangkok. You perform at Silom Serene hotel in the garden. Thank you for your songs and thank you for your courage to talk about hopes and fears. I am your friend of all time. Sabine

Iain! After listening to some of your mp3s I feel quite ashamed of being caught dancing to mix 106.5 at the Fountain Cafe today. I really thought "Love can set you free" was great - a sunny reggae beat to a sincere and gentle rocky tune. Thought the whole lot was tops - though perhaps not as much as Jenna....whoa girl! Your music definately worth the bed-side honour of many fans.

Iain, you may or may not remember but you taught me drums in the later part of your time in Ariel and for a time after Ariel broke up (including your unemployed time, Mondo Rock and Sports). At that time you were living in a house with Steve Reddropp (my cousin) and were also friends with my brother David.
I have always fondly remembered those times in the late 70's and early 80's, when I tried to scratch out a fairly average effort at playing drums, but they were great times, and enhanced by your efforts to make me a better player.
Alas, money took its toll and the drums had to go, but over the years, the boys have occasionally got together for a bash here and there. Alas (again), I seem to have lost my touch and the lads felt it better that I stick with the vocal talents only and lead from the front. Over the years we seem to have developed a following and are generally in demand when people can't afford anyone good!!
Nice to see you are still around, hope to catch up at some stage.
Regards,
Peter Steven

Hey buddy ... your web page looks sensational. Photos are cool and i like the press and news sections. I'll get your link up at GTAMusic tonight. Sounds like 'Faith" is picking up some deserved interest.
See ya soon (& hi Sal)
